6 Books on How to Increase Focus and Boost Productivity

The famous American speaker Jim Rohn once said, “You don’t get paid by the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to the hour.” Therefore, many professionals are stuck with low-value work and low pay until they decide to increase focus and boost productivity to accomplish hard, remarkable, and valuable work.

Simply put, the workplace is a battlefield where those who can focus on learning fast and doing outstanding work have a higher chance of escaping the trenches.

That is, to increase your professional value is to increase the value of your work but that requires laser-sharp focus.

Clever professionals learn to increase focus and boost productivity in many ways. They take courses, work with coaches, and read good books on the issue. You, too, can do the same to add fuel —to your career engine.

Now the key question is: “Where should you start?”

Why don’t you take a look at the books below? I am not sure they are for you. But they share information that helps people to merge onto the highway of high focus and productivity.

1- Master Your Focus by Thibaut Meurisse discusses solutions to the inability to focus on tasks for long. It also shares helpful concentration exercises and tips.

2- Deep Work by Professor Cal Newport discusses four rules for developing deep work focus. As Bestselling author Seth Godin said, “Cal Newport is a clear voice in a sea of noise, bringing science and passion in equal measure. We don’t need more clicks, more cats, and more emojis. We need brave work, work that happens when we refuse to avert our eyes.”
